Six soloists from the Trenton High School band performed at the State Solo and Small Ensemble Festival in Columbia on Friday.
Instrumental Music Instructor Tim Gilham reports freshman Caleb Johnson received gold on a tuba solo.
Students receiving silver on solos included freshman Mari Atup on flute, junior Mackenzie Klinginsmith clarinet, sophomore Amanda Parrack sax, and senior Nicole Rodriguez on tuba.
Freshman Trager Leeper received bronze on a trumpet solo.
