The Spickard Board of Education approved next year’s school calendar on Monday evening.
Superintendent Jonnie Beavers reports the first day of school for Spickard will be August 26th, and the last day will be May 19th, 2021. The school day start time will be at 8 o’clock instead of 8:05.
The board renewed all certified teacher contracts and reopened an elementary educator position. Beavers will receive a raise of 12.5% percent for 2020-2021 with a salary of $58,500. The kindergarten graduation was discontinued.
Spickard School will be closed until April 6th. The board will reevaluate the situation at that time.
