The Trenton Police Department warns that an Internal Revenue Service scam is “back in action”.
The police note a community member reported someone calling from a number with a 415 area code is identifying themselves as the IRS. The caller also threatened a lawsuit.
The Trenton Police report the IRS will never call and threaten arrest or lawsuit ever.
They encourage citizens to hang up and never give information over the phone to anyone they did not request a call from.
