Pleasant View R-6 School today announced that after meeting with the Grundy County Health Department the school will cancel all classes through April 6, 2020.  According to the letter released to families, school administrators will meet on April 1st to determine if the April 6th date to reconvene classes will be possible.

Teachers will be sending work packets home with students and school officials are asking parents to work with students to complete coursework over the next several weeks. Officials say that packets may look somewhat daunting to students as it contains three weeks of work, however, if parents break the packet down into smaller portions the work will not appear overwhelming.

Pleasant View School officials indicate they will not be preparing meals during the closure of the school, however, if families find themselves in need of meals, parents are to contact Mrs. Steinhoff or Ms, Brenda and arrangements will be made for food to be distributed.

School officials indicate that should questions arise parents are asked to email [email protected].
