The Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education approved several construction-related bids at its meeting Tuesday evening.

Those bids include Moore’s Woodworking for around $5,000 to install new guttering, Jim Norris for 14 hundred dollars to paint the gym during Christmas Break, and Luke Gibson and Damien Little for $40 an hour to construct and install soundboards in the gym.

The board approved Ozark Schools Benefits Association as the school’s health insurance starting in January. Superintendent Rebecca Steinhoff reported all veterans are invited to attend Pleasant View’s Veterans Day program and luncheon Friday from 11:30 to 12:30.

Pleasant View will dismiss early November 20th, and classes will not be in session November 21st through 23rd. The school’s Christmas program will be on the night of December 14th at 7 o’clock.

Early Childhood Special Education preschool teachers Carrie Rogers and Kayla Orndorff provided information on the school year. They both received 100% on their special education review on compliance and financial sides.

The board met in closed session to discuss personnel.
