NCMC Human Growth and Development Class visits Trenton Head Start

North Central Missouri College students enrolled in the Human Growth and Development course at North Central Missouri College visited the Trenton Green Hills Head Start site on September 26, 2017.

NCMC students have been learning about topics related to the cognitive, social/emotional, and physical development of young children. The visit provided an opportunity to apply learned information to real-world situations.

NCMC students planned an “ABC Scavenger Hunt” and then helped the Head Start students search for the alphabet letters. NCMC students who attended the activity were Macie Bohannon, Chelsie Brunscher, Brittney Buell, Harris Cameron, MJ Johnson, Abby Miller, Joslyn Newton, Maggie Schmidt, Darcee Schwartzkopf, Mary Simpson, and Taylor Swalley.

The instructor for the course is Dr. Lindsay Oram. NCMC sponsors Green Hill Head Start. The instructor for Trenton Head Start site is Jeni Moore and the program director is Dr. Beverly Hooker.
