The Missouri Army National Guard’s 548th Transportation Company out of Trenton left for Fort Leonard Wood Thursday.
The company will complete four weeks of pre-mobilization training to prepare for deployment overseas in March.
More than 150 citizen-soldiers are receiving combat skills and weapons training.
The unit plans to hold a departure ceremony after training is complete.
