Monroe City woman injured in Highway 36 rollover crash

A single-vehicle accident occurred on the morning of April 9, 2024, resulting in moderate injuries to a Monroe City woman. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash took place at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Highway 36, two miles northeast of Rensselaer, Missouri.

Deborah K. Watson, 71, was driving a 2013 Honda Ridgeline truck eastbound when she lost control of the vehicle. The truck ran off the north side of the highway and overturned in the median. Watson, who was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident, sustained moderate injuries. She was transported by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

The Honda Ridgeline suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Roberts Wrecker.

The accident prompted responses from the Palmyra Fire Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Department, and Marion County Ambulance.
