Four injured in late night crash on Highway 6 east of Milan

On April 12, 2024, at 11:30 p.m., a vehicle crash occurred on Route C, 6 miles east of Milan, Missouri. A 2014 Ford Edge, driven by Georgina H. Farris, 40, of Milan, MO, veered off the left side of Highway 6 and collided with a ditch. 

Georgina Farris, along with three passengers—Dakota K. Sizemore, 30, Zachary A. Brewer, 32, and Jillian M. Shields, 44—all from Milan, suffered minor injuries. Dakota Sizemore and Zachary Brewer were transported by private vehicle to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital. The two had not been using seat belts. Conversely, Jillian Shields, who had been wearing her seat belt, was transported by a Sullivan County deputy to the same hospital. Georgina Farris, who also used a seat belt, refused treatment at the scene.

The vehicle was severely damaged and was subsequently towed by Littrell Towing.

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department and the Milan Police Department responded to the incident, assisting at the scene.

Georgina Farris was arrested by the patrol and accused of three counts of felony DWI causing physical injury, DWI, and careless and imprudent driving involving a crash.
