The electricity was out in the western portion of Trenton due to a short at the power plant substation.
Utility Director Ron Urton reports that a short in the wires caused a fire and explosion causing the power to be disconnected. The fire was put out with a fire extinguisher.
Urton indicated there was a possibility of further temporary outages in the western portion of Trenton in the process of restoring electricity.
