The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office received a complete autopsy report on a three-month-old child who died in November.

Sheriff Ben Becerra reports Everly Hulet’s parents have been cleared of any wrongdoing or involvement with the death based on the report by Frontier Forensics Midwest of Kansas City, Kansas. He says other persons of interest were unable to be interviewed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The sheriff’s office received a 911 call from Hulet’s babysitter’s residence in Pattonsburg in reference to the child not breathing. Hulet was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center before being transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital.  It was reported that Children’s Mercy determined Hulet’s injuries consistent with child abuse, and Hulet died two days after the 911 call.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office contacted the State Technical Assistance Team to assist in the investigation, and the State Technical Assistance Team has now closed the investigation.
