Chillicothe Police Department: An accident, domestic dispute and arrest of a sex offender

Chillicothe Police Department reports on recent calls

Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle accident on Polk Street near the intersection of Washington Street.

A vehicle driven by Dalton Franklin was attempting to cross Polk Street from a private drive to another private drive. Franklin pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Jessica Johnson that was eastbound on Polk Street colliding, causing moderate damage.

Two passengers received minor injuries, one was transported by EMS to Hedrick Medical Center, the other was transported by a private vehicle. Franklin was issued a Municipal Citation for failure to yield the right of way.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of Williams. The incident was found to be verbal and no arrests were made.

Officers arrested Brent O. Trower in the 10 block of South Washington Street on a Livingston County Probation/Parole violation warrant. Trower was transported to the Police Department where he was processed and transferred to the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail.

Officers received information from a Livingston County Deputy that they were attempting to apprehend Thomas L. Midgyett on a Livingston County Warrant that was issued for failure to register as a sex offender.

Midgyett was observed at the intersection of Park Lane and Morningside Drive, was arrested and transported to the Police Department. Midgyett was turned over to the Deputy and transferred to the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail
