The 19th Annual Quilt Auction will be held at the Spillman Event Center in Jamesport next weekend.

A quilt show will be held Thursday from 10 o’clock in the morning to 4 o’clock in the afternoon with the event center to be open for quilt viewing Friday from 2 o’clock in the afternoon to 8 o’clock that night.

The quilt auction will start Saturday morning at 9 o’clock with doors opening prior to the auction at 7 o’clock for persons to view the quilts. There will also be a quilt raffle Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock. One ticket costs $1, or six tickets can be purchased for $5.

Jamesport Community Association Treasurer Vicki Harding adds that a reasonably priced lunch will be served Saturday as well. She says there is usually coffee and cinnamon rolls served in the morning, so persons do not have to leave the building unless they want to.

Harding tells that it is not unusual for quilts to be donated from other states or for persons from other states to attend the auction. She notes the deadline to donate a quilt is quickly approaching.

Anyone interested in donating a quilt to the auction should call Harding at 402-610-7300 or Sherwood Quilts at 660-684-6121within the next few days.

More information on the quilt auction can be found on the Jamesport, Missouri Facebook page or online by clicking HERE.
