Three individuals were transported to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton by ambulance after a traffic accident at East Ninth and Main Streets in Trenton Monday morning.
The Trenton Police Department reports 63-year-old Stanley Richardson of Galt stopped in the westbound lane on Ninth Street for a red light at the intersection when 30-year-old Casey Jones of Trenton stopped behind him.
Jones’s foot slipped off the brake causing his car to hit Richardson’s car in the rear.
There was no apparent damage to Jones’s vehicle and minor scratches on the rear bumper of Richardson’s vehicle.
Richardson and his two passengers, 61-year-old Mary Richardson and 77-year-old Jody Jackson both of Galt, complained of neck pain and were transported to the hospital.
The police department reports Jones was cited for following too closely.
