Veva “Ann” Oertwig, 80, of Chula, MO, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at StoneBridge Senior Living Center in Chillicothe. She was born on July 9, 1943, in Galt, MO, to Vaughn Rhoades and Edith Tolle Rhoades.
Ann was a member of Turning Point Church in Chillicothe. She enjoyed reading, doing yard work, participating in Bible studies, and assisting with ministry duties.
She is survived by her son, Fred Oertwig of Chula; her two sisters, Ernestine Railsback and Glenda Gillilan, both of Chillicothe; along with several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.
Veva was preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn and Edith Rhoades; her sisters, Mary Wilson, Joyce Keithley, and Ruth Ronnie; and her son, Brian Oertwig.
The family will hold a celebration of life for Veva “Ann” Oertwig at Turning Point Church in Chillicothe, followed by a lunch gathering.
The celebration of life will be held on April 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Turning Point Church, located at 2971 N Washington St, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
