Trenton Municipal Utilities reports that it has completed modifications at the city drinking water plant.
The modifications are designed to protect private lead service lines and reduce the possibility of lead entering water used in homes with lead service lines. TMU will complete another round of lead testing in February at the 40 locations tested throughout 2018.
TMU encourages customers to review tips to be included on their next bill to learn how they can reduce the risk of exposure to lead. The tips include flushing water taps for one to two minutes before using the water for drinking or cooking, purchasing a home treatment device, or using bottled water for cooking and drinking.
