The Putnam County Health Department will host a Bike Rodeo for individuals of all ages on May 4th on the Unionville Square from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Participants should register at the southwest corner of the square.

The event will feature an obstacle course designed to teach participants about bicycle safety and road rules. This is open to those with bicycles, tricycles, scooters, and wheelchairs. The health department will also provide a limited number of loaner bikes on a first-come, first-served basis for those who do not have their bikes. It is required that minors be accompanied by an adult.

In addition to the educational activities, free helmets and fittings will be available. Attendees can also enter drawings to win one of six new bicycles. Furthermore, there will be tours of local emergency vehicles, including a police car, an ambulance, and fire trucks.
