A late-night accident on Highway 136 in Unionville, Missouri, resulted in serious injuries for a woman after a vehicle collided with her residence. The incident occurred just east of North 29th Street at approximately 11:24 p.m. on Sunday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2009 Honda Pilot, driven by Jimmy A. Pacheco Dzib, 32, of Princeton, Missouri, veered off the right side of the road and struck a house. Pacheco Dzib was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The vehicle sustained total damage and was removed from the scene by Littrell’s Towing.
Inside the residence at the time of the accident was Karen S. Torrey, 79, who sustained serious injuries. She was initially attended to by responders from the Putnam County Ambulance and subsequently airlifted to the University of Missouri Hospital for further treatment.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol, assisted by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Putnam County Fire Department, and Putnam County Ambulance, responded to the scene.
Dzib was arrested and charged with DWI causing serious physical injury—a felony, an additional DWI, and careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident.
