Crash on Lincoln Way north of Kirksville results in minor injuries

A rollover accident on Lincoln Way, just north of the Kirksville city limits, resulted in minor injuries for a man on Sunday evening.

The accident occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m., when a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by 31-year-old Danda Phalenson of Kirksville, Missouri, veered off the road. The Hyundai traveled northbound before it struck a ditch and overturned.

Phalenson, who was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, sustained minor injuries. He was transported by private vehicle to Northeast Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The damaged vehicle was towed from the scene by Lakeside Towing.

Emergency responders from the Adair County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene. Trooper Osborne and Trooper Snyder assisted in the response efforts.
