Pleasant View Board of Education approves budget

The Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education approved the 2017-2018 budget and amendments to the 2016-2017 budget at a special meeting Wednesday afternoon.

The 2017-2018 budget shows projected revenues of $1,525,4600 with projected expenses of $1,529,992, leaving a projected deficit of $4,532.

The board voted to transfer funds to zero out one of its funds for the 2016-2017 school year and to amend the budget to match actual figures. The year ended with a surplus of $45,789.43.

Luke Gibson was also sworn in as a board member with his term expiring in April 2018.

In a closed session, the board approved the hiring of Phoebe Duff of Trenton as the art teacher as well as Latina Bru of Trenton as an Early Childhood Special Education aide for next school year.
