Northeast Missouri FFA team results from district events in Macon

FFA teams from northeast Missouri schools have qualified for state competition following judging on Friday at Northeast Missouri District Career Development Events held in Macon.

Meadville qualified judging teams in entomology (2nd place), farm management (7th), and floriculture (9th). Milan FFA has teams that qualified for state in entomology (4th), agronomy (9th), farm management (9th), and floriculture (11th). Newtown Harris FFA qualified its dairy foods team (11th) for state competition. Brookfield teams eligible for state competition are in farm management (6th) and food science (no placement given). Bucklin has a floriculture team (4th) that qualified for state competition at the annual Missouri FFA convention in Columbia.

Recapping career development event results from Wednesday’s district competition in Columbia: Teams that qualified for state judging in dairy cattle are Bucklin, Milan, and Brookfield. Those that qualified in livestock judging are Linn County and Putnam County. Meadville has an FFA team eligible for state in judging meats.

The 96th Missouri FFA convention is scheduled for April 17 – 19, 2024.
