Grundy County has reported an increase in sales tax collections for the year through April, with a gain of approximately $6,700 in each of three key categories compared to the same period last year.
The categories include county revenue, law enforcement, and general revenue, which partially benefits the Grundy County Ambulance Service. The collections for the year thus far exceed $189,800 in each category, however, the collections for this month have seen a slight decline of about $2,900 in each category from what was collected in April 2023. The total for each category this month is approximately $46,600.
