On April 9th, the Grundy County Commission officially declared April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Grundy County. This declaration urges all residents, community organizations, state entities, healthcare providers, and local businesses to escalate their involvement in initiatives aimed at bolstering families, curbing child abuse, and fortifying the fabric of the community.

Amanda White, representing the North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center, was present at the signing of the proclamation. The event also saw participation from members of the Trenton Police Department, representatives from the Third Circuit Children’s Division, and officials from the Grundy County Juvenile Office. This collective gathering underscores the community’s commitment to fighting child abuse and supporting vulnerable families within Grundy County.
