The Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District responded to a grass fire Sunday afternoon just south of Tindall.
Approximately one half-acre or less was burned. The initial fire was set to burn sticks and tree limbs on a non-windy day; however, the fire spread into dry grass.
The Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District responded with a brush truck and other volunteers.
The owner of the property is John Ausberger.
