The Chillicothe Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 207 East Bridge Street early Wednesday at 5:02 p.m.

Upon arrival, a spokesperson reported heavy smoke emanating from the garage area, with less dense smoke issuing from the front door, which had been propped open. The door was immediately closed to inhibit the spread of the fire.

The electric meter was disconnected, and the gas supply was shut off. Firefighters gained entry to the garage and began applying a water/foam mixture to extinguish the flames. The crew also started salvage and overhaul operations. Approximately 2,000 gallons of water were used, and fire crews remained on the scene for over an hour.

The Chillicothe Fire Department identified the occupant as Robyn Gaede of 207 East Bridge Street. The property owner was listed as Mike Camerillo of Cameron.
