A Stewartsville man was hurt when, according to the highway patrol, his leg brace caught on the gas pedal of the car he was driving causing the vehicle to travel into the median of Highway 36 near Stewartsville.
53-year old Bryan Candler of Stewartsville was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with called minor injuries.
The accident happened early Saturday afternoon just east of Stewartsville when the car was in the southbound Route N crossover, made a left turn onto eastbound Highway 36 when Candler’s leg brace caught on the gas pedal. The vehicle traveled into the median striking the embankment.
Damage to the car was listed as minor, Candler was wearing a seatbelt.
