The Highway Patrol reports a Hamilton man sustained serious injuries when his vehicle overturned in Caldwell County Tuesday morning.

Forty-four-year-old Robert Feigly lost control of his dump truck when the front driver’s side tire on it failed two miles southwest of Breckenridge on eastbound U. S. 36.

The dump truck traveled into the median and struck the terrain before overturning, which totaled the vehicle. The truck came to a rest on its top in the westbound lanes of U. S. 36 blocking both lanes.

EMS transported Feigly to the Liberty Hospital.

The Patrol reports he wore a safety device at the time of the accident.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, Breckenridge and Braymer fire departments, and the Missouri Department of Transportation assisted.
