3 teen girls hurt in Linn County crash, 1 life flighted

Three teenage girls were injured last night when the vehicle they were riding in left a Linn County road and overturned three miles east of Marceline.

The highway patrol listed injuries as moderate for the driver, 18-year-old Cheyenne Gosch of Marceline, moderate for a passenger, 16-year-old Alyssa Merry of Salisbury, and serious for another passenger 14-year-old Taylor Douglas of Marceline.

Miss Douglas was flown by medical helicopter to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. The other two girls were taken by ambulance to Pershing Memorial Hospital of Brookfield.

The minivan was demolished in the accident on Mimosa Drive about 7 o’clock Tuesday night.

None of the three teens were using safety devices.
