Laredo R-7 Board of Education approves salary increases

The Laredo R-7 Board of Education approved a salary proposal on April 8.

The certified base will increase by $2,500 to $36,500. Administration and non-certified staff salaries will increase by six percent, excluding the assistant custodian. Pay for bus drivers will increase by $1.50 per day.

The Board approved implementing the Career Ladder program for the next school year.

Approval was given to pay the Missouri School Boards Association dues for the next school year. MSBA policy updates were also approved.

A three-year contract with the Network for Educator Effectiveness was approved.

A health fair will be held on April 30.

New board members Morgan Duff and Ronna Owens were sworn in for three-year terms.

The Board was reorganized. The officers are President Jason Meeker, Vice President Casey Bowe, Treasurer Kristi Urich, Board Secretary Robin Griswold, and MSBA Delegate Angie Lowrey.

After a closed session, it was announced the Board approved non-certified contracts.
