The Trenton Rotary Club heard a presentation on the 100-year history of the Rotary Foundation at its meeting Thursday.

Rotary District 6040 Governor Nominee Julie McCoy of Chillicothe said the Kansas City 13 Club gave the foundation its first donation of $26.50 in 1917.

McCoy said the foundation has grown to over $1.3 billion since that time and that it now provides funding for projects around the world in promoting peace and understanding.

One of those projects is the Group Study Exchange Program, which allows individuals to study a vocation similar to their own by visiting other countries.

The Trenton and Chillicothe clubs will host an exchange program team from Argentina and Paraguay April 26th through 30th.

The clubs also plan to host a dinner in April to raise money to donate to the foundation.

During the business meeting, it was announced Trenton’s Got Talent has been moved to Friday, March 24th.

The talent show will be at the Trenton High School at 7 o’clock that night.
