Winners have been announced from the Trenton Middle School Spelling Bee on January 13th.
Isaac Bonta won the eighth-grade bee with the word mournful. Titus Kottwitz was the runner-up, and Hussein Haglestein is the alternate.
For the seventh grade, Graeme Sager won with the word novice. Henry Lasley received second place, and Nicholas Sosa is the alternate.
The sixth-grade bee winner was Malachi Kottwitz with the word decimal. Payton Hanes was the runner-up, and Gabriel Makovec is the alternate.
Ezekiel Kottwitz won the fifth-grade bee with the word telescope. The runner-up was Wyatt Spurgeon, and the alternate is Aynsley Foster.
The winners and alternates will compete at the Grundy County Spelling Bee at Trenton Middle School on January 28th at 1 p.m.
