Although there are no known cases involving the coronavirus disease known as COVID-19 on the campuses of North Central Missouri College, NCMC is taking further preventive and proactive measures to minimize the risk of exposure and the spread of COVID-19 through the reduction in mass assembly on campus. The safety of students, faculty, staff, and families is of the utmost concern for NCMC.  As part of a global effort to contain and minimize risk and exposure to the virus, NCMC is taking several preventative measures to join the efforts in protecting our region and communities.

All in-person classes held on NCMC campuses beginning March 23, 2020, will be moved to an alternative online instructional approach for the remainder of the spring semester. Students taking in-person courses will continue their work through Blackboard online learning, email, and other virtual communication tools. During this time, campuses will remain open, and all faculty and staff will observe their usual work schedules.

The Ketcham Community Center will close at 5:00 p.m. on 3/17/2020 and remain closed through March 31, 2020. KCC will tentatively reopen for normal hours of operation on April 1, 2020.

While no intervention is ever going to be perfect, NCMC is taking a proactive approach to reducing the spread of COVID-19. NCMC will continue to monitor the situation, follow CDC and Grundy County Health Department guidance, and the campus emergency preparedness plan.

NCMC will send regular communication on any changes, updates, and measures regarding the COVID-19 situation.
