Julie LeAnn Johnson obit photoJulie LeAnn Johnson, 59, of Princeton, MO, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 21, 1964, in Trenton, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Gene Jackson and Hazel Virginia Hobbs.

She graduated from Trenton Junior College and began working for Mercer County Ambulance as an EMT. Throughout her life, she had many careers, including motel owner, substitute teacher, school bus driver and manager, mechanic, restaurant owner, and cattle farmer.

She was preceded in death by her father; her stepfather, Cecil Hobbs; and her first husband, Mark Thompson.

Julie is survived by her husband, John David Johnson, of the home; her son, Joshua “Dakota” Thompson, of Princeton, MO; her daughter, Julia “Dawn” Thompson, of Princeton, MO; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Damian) Probstfield, of Springfield, MO; stepson, Chris (Jen) Johnson, of Kansas City, MO; six step-grandchildren; step-brother, John (Kelvina) Hobbs, of Jamesport, MO; niece, LaTasha Cunningham, of Trenton, MO; her mother, Hazel Hobbs, of Trenton, MO; and numerous “adopted” children.

Julie was always willing to help, and her positivity was admired by all who knew her. No one went hungry around her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, at Roberson Funeral Home in Princeton, MO. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Ravanna Cemetery, Ravanna, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
