(Missourinet) – If elected as Missouri governor, State Senator Bill Eigel says he would call out the law enforcement and National Guard to capture, jail, and deport people in the country illegally. Here’s what Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe, who is also running for governor, had to say about Eigel’s promise.

“My preferred way would be to put Donald Trump back in the White House and lock the border down and not have the immigrants here to have to do something like that with,” says Kehoe. “The answer to this solution is we’re doing it to support Texas and Governor Abbott right now, and we have to do that. But the real answer is to get the right administration in Washington, D.C., and lock our border back down.”

Congress’s bipartisan immigration plan fell through because former President Donald Trump reportedly wanted illegal immigration as a talking point in hopes of winning this year’s election.
