On Tuesday, students at Grand River Technical School in Chillicothe witnessed a demonstration that authorities promoted as “driving home” the importance of using a seat belt when riding in a motor vehicle. The event also highlighted the dangers associated with impaired driving.

The presentation included the “seat belt convincer” and rollover demonstrations. Members of the Highway Patrol joined forces with the Chillicothe Police Department, Livingston County Emergency Management/Chillicothe Fire Department, Livingston County Coroner Nathan Zabka, and Chillicothe Schools. Law enforcement described the event as a learning experience for the students at Grand River Technical School.
