A Chillicothe woman accused of shaking a three-month-old girl during a feeding session waived her right to a preliminary hearing in the Associate Division of Livingston County Circuit Court on Monday.

The court certified Beatrice Josephine Anderson’s case to Division One for arraignment on February 4th. She has been charged with felony abuse or neglect of a child, serious emotional or physical injury, no sexual contact.

Previous media reports indicated investigators were called after the infant was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Doctors were quoted in the reports as explaining injuries and bleeding sustained by the child were consistent with a baby who had been shaken or perhaps thrown or hit.
