Trenton Police Department reports uptick in nuisances for 2019

The Trenton Police Department reports 323 nuisance incidents were filed in 2019, which is 65 more than the 258 filed in 2018.

A Nuisance Summary shows the greatest number of violations in 2019 involved grass and weeds with 142 incidents. The next highest number of violations involved trash and debris with 117. There were 38 incidents filed for open storage of a disabled vehicle and 26 filed for unregistered vehicles.

Twelve nuisance incidents have been filed so far in 2020. Eight of those violations involve trash and debris. There are two violations each filed for unregistered vehicles and the open storage of a disabled vehicle.

A Nuisance Summary indicates four filings are active, seven have been cleared, and one has been prosecuted. Forty-five of the 46 nuisance cases on the court docket were carried over from 2019.
