A Linneus resident was hurt when a utility vehicle overturned off a road north of Brookfield late this (Friday) morning.
Fifteen-year old Grace Tarrant was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, with what the Highway Patrol described as moderate injuries.
Miss Tarrant was a passenger on the UTV operated by 13-year old Dillan Tarrant of Linneus. He was not reported hurt.
The accident was eight miles north of Brookfield on Indigo Road. The eastbound UTV traveled off the north side of the road, forcing the driver into an over-correction. The machine then went off the south side of the road and overturned, partially ejecting both teenagers.
The Patrol said neither person was wearing a helmet.
