The 14th Annual Holiday Hoops at the Ketcham Community Center on the campus of the North Central Missouri College in Trenton is next month.
NCMC Director of Development Alicia Endicott says 115 teams representing 63 Missouri and Iowa high schools will participate in the games tentatively scheduled to be played December 14th through 31st.
Holiday Hoops Director Steve Maxey and a steering committee work to set up the event’s schedule, which Endicott calls a “huge undertaking,” as the schedule must work around school schedules, the weather, and illness.
Endicott says hundreds of volunteers help with Holiday Hoops. The volunteers host and sit with teams, keep score, operate the clock, man the front desk, and serve concessions.
