Two-car collision, on Highway H in Ralls County, injures 16-year-old girl

A two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway H, five miles north of Center, Missouri, at 12:23 p.m. on March 16, 2024, resulting in moderate injuries to a 16-year-old passenger and extensive damage to both vehicles involved.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2013 Mazda 6, driven by 18-year-old Hannah M. Wigger of Festus, Missouri, failed to yield to a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by 26-year-old Tayrin D. Foutch of Keokuk, Iowa, after stopping at a stop sign.

The Chevrolet Suburban was traveling southbound when the Mazda 6, heading westbound, entered its path, leading to the collision. Both drivers wore seat belts at the time of the accident. The vehicles suffered significant damage; the Mazda 6 had extensive damage, while the Chevrolet Suburban was declared a total loss. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Robert’s Towing.

A juvenile passenger in the Chevrolet Suburban sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Ralls County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment. The victim was also reported to have been using a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol received assistance from Master Sergeant McGivney of the Highway Patrol, Ralls County Sheriff’s Department, Ralls County Ambulance, New London First Responders, and Center First Responders.
