A new date has been announced for the Grundy County Spelling Bee. The bee will be held at the Grundy R-5 Elementary School in Humphreys the afternoon of February 20, 2018, at 4:30. The event was originally to be held this past Tuesday, February 6th, but it was postponed due to predicted inclement weather.

Illness closes North Mercer School
Because of continuing illnesses, the North Mercer School dismissed classes Wednesday morning, as of 9 o’clock. Superintendent Dan Owens reports North Mercer will not be holding classes the rest of this week. So, no school at North Mercer Thursday and Friday to allow for recovery from the illness.
