Two people are to appear in court next week in Trenton following separate arrests this past weekend and the filing of charges.

Thirty-three-year-old Dan Richard Peters Junior of Trenton is charged with two felony counts including domestic assault in the third degree and property damage in the first degree stemming from a November 27th incident. Peters is accused of causing physical pain to a female household member when she was allegedly struck in the head and arms multiple times. Peters also is accused of damaging bifocal glasses and smashing a cell phone belonging to the victim.

Forty-eight-year-old Princeton resident, James LeRoy Houk, was arrested on drug charges in Grundy County. On Friday, Houk was accused of felony possession of a controlled substance described as methamphetamine. He’s also accused of felony unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia listed as digital scales. And Houk is accused of misdemeanor possession of ten grams or less of marijuana.

Bond amounts for Peters and Houk are $7,500 each. Both are scheduled to appear on December 8th in the Associate Division of the Grundy County Circuit Court.
