Fifty-three hundred dollars were raised for the Green Hills Animal Shelter of Trenton at the Seventh Annual Take a Walk in Chocolate Heaven last (Tuesday) evening.
More than 40 chocolate tasting items were featured, and winners were announced in two divisions. The grand prize winner for the Adult Division was the Trenton High School’s Black and Gold Coffee Shop’s chocolate cake pops.
Cake pops won in the categories of presentation and creativity. Taylor Richardson’s chocolate unicorn cupcakes were the taste winner. The grand prize winner for the Junior Division was Addisyn Freeman’s rainbow cheesecake with chocolate ganache. The cheesecake won in the categories of presentation and creativity. McKenzy Dolan’s chocolate brownie s’mores was the taste winner.
The Green Hills Animal Shelter thanks contestants, donors, and others who made the chocolate contest possible.
