The Jamesport City Council Monday evening approved purchasing insulation for the ceiling of the new city building. City Clerk Shelley Page reports the cost will be around $500, and city employees plan to install the insulation themselves.
Proposals were accepted for a build design on three city streets: South Broadway from Auberry Grove to Main Street, Main from South Broadway to Grant Street, and Grant Street from East Main to Auberry Grove. The cost of the build design has not yet been determined.
City Attorney Lauren Horsman reported Missouri laws have changed regarding nuisance violations, which would require the city to take administrative action on properties in violation. The council agreed the city would use the resources necessary to move forward with clean up of the violating properties.
