Gloria Elizabeth Ku from Princeton, MO, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for December.

Gloria, originally from Patchakan, Corozal, Belize Central America, is pursuing her nursing degree at the Bethany site where she can take classes at night and in the evening to work with her busy schedule.  Gloria will graduate in December with her LPN certificate and then continue at NCMC to become a registered nurse in the ADN program. After graduating with her LPN degree, Gloria plans to work at Harrison County Community Hospital.

“I chose NCMC because it has an excellent nursing program, a beautiful campus, a wonderful simulation lab, and it is close to home,” said Gloria. “As a student, you are never alone. The faculty and staff are very approachable and always willing to go above and beyond to assist students and guide them towards achieving their goals. Our success is their priority.”

Gloria enjoys her Mental Health class and getting to know her classmates. “I enjoy lending a hand when I can. We motivate each other to strive to be better every day and I enjoy that we study, learn, grow, and are successful together.”

Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
