Crash on Highway 36 at Cameron injures two

The Highway Patrol reports two individuals sustained minor injuries when one car stopped to let an animal cross Highway 36 at Cameron and was struck by another car Friday morning.

Thirty-one-year-old Candace Wilson of Branson and 22-year-old Logan Lockhart of Maysville were transported by ambulance to the Cameron Regional Medical Center. Fifty-three-year-old David Justus of Maysville was reported as not injured.

Both cars traveled east on U. S. 36 when the vehicle driven by Justus hit the other driven by Wilson in the rear at Southeast Reservoir Road. Justus’s car came to rest in the driving lane on its wheels facing west with moderate damage. Wilson’s came to rest on the south side of the road on its wheels facing east with extensive damage.

Justus wore a seat belt, while Wilson and Lockhart did not. The Cameron Police Department assisted at the scene of the crash.
