Saturday, March 16th, 2024
- 12:25 AM: Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Shawnee Dr. regarding a child abuse report. Upon arrival, officers engaged with the victim and their family, identifying a suspect. Efforts to obtain an arrest warrant are underway, with the investigation ongoing.
- 9:20 AM & 9:50 AM: Officers assisted with funeral escorts, demonstrating the department’s commitment to community support.
- 7:21 PM: A call about a careless and imprudent (C&I) vehicle near Washington and Thompson Dr. was investigated, but the vehicle in question was not located.
- 10:21 PM: Responding to a noise complaint on the 500 block of Williams Street, officers resolved the issue amicably, with the involved party agreeing to cease the noise.
- 11:30 PM: A business alarm call from the 2600 block of Washington Street turned out to be a false alarm after officers’ prompt investigation.
Sunday, March 17th, 2024
- 12:53 AM: Officers investigated a trespassing report in the 400 block of Webster Street, concluding that no crime had occurred as the subjects had a legal right to be on the property.
- 1:47 AM: A routine patrol in the 400 block of Mitchell revealed an unsecured business premises. Officers contacted the owner, ensuring the building was secured, reflecting the department’s proactive approach to crime prevention.
- 2:27 PM: A follow-up visit to the 400 block of Webster Street for an ongoing investigation found the subject in question absent.
- 10:43 PM: A parking violation warning was issued in the area of Fairway Dr. and Fair Street, highlighting the department’s attention to even minor infractions.
