Building and Nuisance Board and Trenton City Council have full agendas for Monday meeting

Monday evenings’ meeting of the Trenton Building and Nuisance Board includes discussion on some 20 properties of concern. The meeting begins at 6 o’clock Monday night, October 23 at the Trenton City Hall and is open to the public.

The agenda shows six locations for declaration of a nuisance, three public hearings, five in the category called findings of fact, and seven for the certificate of existence of a dangerous building. Updates also are to be given on other possible structures of concern and nuisances.

At 7 o’clock, there will be a meeting of the Trenton City Council. The public comment portion of the agenda lists an appearance by Gabriella Chrisman.

An ordinance authorizes a change in zoning for property at 317 Johnson Drive.

The proposal would change the location from heavy industry to mixed use. The change has been recommended for approval by the Trenton Planning and Zoning Commission.

The full city council will receive information on an estimated $4,700,000 worth of improvements at the wastewater treatment plant. The Utility Committee this week recommended the Burns and McDonnel engineering company pursue three of the project initiatives. Another topic before the city council is listed as a discussion of “Welcome to Trenton” signs usage of water and electricity.

The city of Trenton plans a closed executive session for legal and personnel at the conclusion of the public portion of the Monday night council meeting.
