Trenton man injured in motorcycle crash on I-70

The highway patrol reports Trenton and Kansas City residents were injured last evening when thrown from a motorcycle as it was traveling on Interstate 70 in LaFayette County.

The patrol report shows 41-year-old Joseph Wilcoxson of Trenton, and 44-year-old Evalora Hughes of Kansas City were taken by ambulance to the Centerpoint Hospital with moderate injuries.

An investigating officer reported the eastbound motorcycle, driven by Wilcoxson, traveled off the highway, ejecting both the driver and passenger.

The report noted both persons were using safety devices. The motorcycle received extensive damage in the wreck at 6:48 pm Sunday.
