Three people from Plattsburg were injured in a wreck five miles east of Gallatin.

The highway patrol described injuries as serious for 26-year-old Ashley Waldron and 26-year-old Matthew Morgan; minor injuries for an infant: nine-month-old Caden Morgan. The report noted Ashley Waldron was taken to Liberty Hospital while Matthew Morgan and the infant went to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Troopers noted the young child was spared serious injury by being properly secured in a child safety seat. The three occupants were in a car westbound on Highway 6 when it was struck by an oncoming car that had crossed the centerline. The patrol said the driver of the eastbound car, 49-year-old Angelina Aban Yor of Kirksville had apparently lost control on the snow-covered highway. After impact, both vehicles spun 180 degrees coming to a stop in the opposite lanes.

The vehicles were demolished.
